Introducing Kindly, Kayla: The Heart Behind the Blog 🌼

Hi Friends! Welcome to Kindly, Kayla.

Kindly, Kayla is a blog that I created back in 2021. When I was a child, I always dreamed of having a blog. The first one I ever created was called Dare to be Different. I even made one in high school called Keeping up with Kay. I’ve always loved to write and share uplifting messages about the things that I go through because I think that it is so important to help others feel seen and never alone in what they are going through.

“Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others he has redeemed you from your enemies.”

Psalms 107:2 NLT

What is Kindly, Kayla? ✨

Kindly, Kayla is a space where I share my heart and invite you to slow down and notice the sweetness of life with Jesus! I chose the name Kindly, Kayla because I want to share my heart with kindness. I want you to feel safe, loved, and cared for when you enter this space.

“Kind words are like honey— sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭24‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Theme of 2026 🌳

This year, my theme is Abide in Christ. John 15 is one of my favorite passages of scripture (also, how cool is it that it’s today’s verse of the day on the Bible app?!) and I really want to make that the goal of my life and this blog, to abide in Christ so that He can abide in me, so that His fruit will be produced in me.

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.”

John 15:4 ESV

Logo Update 💐

I have a new logo! It’s the cover of this blog post. I love the floral nature of it, and if you go and look through my blog posts and their covers, you’ll notice that there are floral touches in them as well! I love flowers, and I also love how they fit in with John 15. Jesus used trees, flowers, gardening, and harvesting illustrations a lot, and I love it! I want this blog to not only be rooted in Truth, but also a place where you feel comforted with beautiful images as well.

New Beginnings 🌷

You might notice that a lot of my previous blog posts have been taken down. As much as I love and value those posts, I really wanted to make sure that my words truly reflect and represent how I feel now. Some of the posts from when I was in undergrad no longer resonate with me! I decided to keep up 6 of my favorite blog posts that I feel are relevant, truly meaningful, and authentic to what I am walking through currently.

Post Schedule 💗

I want to be consistent in sharing blog posts, but I also don’t want to have a set schedule. Not only does that add pressure, but that also leaves no room for God to speak to me whenever He wants. I don’t want to write something just to have something to post. I want my words to have value and actually be able to help my readers! I am committed to posting 2 times a month, and more if God gives me something to say.

Final Thoughts 💭

I want to thank you so, so much for being here. I may not have many subscribers, but if only one person reads one of my posts and it helps them, then it has a purpose! I also want to encourage you to look through the blog and see all of the pages. I have 3 pages: About Me, Blog Posts, and Kayla Core. If you want to learn more about me, read my blog posts, or check out some of my favorite pictures from my camera roll, check them out! I’ll put them below for easy access.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my writing. It means the world to me that you would spend even a few minutes of your precious time to come here! I love you, and Jesus loves you so much more.

Kindly,

Kayla
